Restaurant Week 2022 returns to Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo. The SDQ Gastronomico and the culinary experience offered by Restaurant Week Santo Domingo 2022 returns to the capital city from Monday 14th to Sunday 20th November with the participation of more than 95 restaurants.
This week organized by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, ASONAHORES, and the Dominican Association of Restaurants, ADERES, within the framework of the fifth edition of the Gastronomic SDQ, has become the ideal setting to explore and discover diversity flavors of the haute cuisine of the country.
The members of ADERES as well as the Association of Casual Food and Quick Service Establishments (ADECOR) and the hotel restaurants of the Santo Domingo Hotel Association (AHSD) will be participating together with the new exponents that are integrated for the first time in the event.
Rafael Blanco Tejera, president of ASONAHORES, thanked the support received during these 5 years where the growth of the activity had awakened the concern to take it to other regions and the expectations of diners and sponsors exercised the creativity of restaurants and organizers to build a robust activity of the Gastronomic SDQ in the positioning of our country as a destination, and Restaurant Week a memorable experience on the palate of all its diners.
Omar Cepeda, president of ADERES, highlighted that “this year the number of participating restaurants has increased, with innovative and very creative culinary proposals, where diners can taste two types of menus, specially designed for this week.
The first one at a cost of RD$995 pesos plus taxes (about 20 dollars), consisting of a two-course tasting menu -starter and main course-; and the second option is a three-course menu -starter, main course and dessert- for a value of RD$1,495 pesos (27USD) per person plus taxes”.
